Frayed Edges - Guido's Garden

Preview 23 October 6-8pm
24 October - 4 November - Tues-Sun 12-5pm

Textiles based group Frayed Edges offer a stimulating crop of responses to Lindome Abbey, which opens at Patriothall Gallery in Edinburgh on Sat 24th October 2015.

The group have taken as their starting point the ruins of Lindores Abbey in Newburgh, where some of the group are based, established in the twelfth century; Guido was the first abbot. Frayed Edges came together as a group of textile artists, and much of this years’s exhibition is textile based, including the guest member, India Flint’s work. As in previous exhibitions, the work is not exclusively textile, and other materials and techniques are employed.

As in their previous group shows at Patriothall, “Guido’s Garden” provides a vivid peak into the minds of the individuals.
