A creative environment in artist Alan Kilpatrick’s working studio within the Patriothall Studio Complex in Stockbridge which houses over 60 artists Responding to the limited art education within primary schools Alan Kilpatrick and Stella Auchinleck, both trained and practicing artists are offering a non curricular based art club where children will be encouraged to explore and develop their creative skills and imagination through exposure to different media and methods in use by contemporary artists.
Over the six weeks we will explore the children's individual interests and collective environment, introducing new materials and techniques as appropriate with a view to producing a finished, ambitious work by the end of the session.
The Studio Art Club will be run by Stella Auchinleck and Alan Kilpatrick as a fun, creative environment where children can explore their individual creativity, and as a group explore the many possibilities and languages that can be found in current art practice.
